Pre-englneered metal building (or PEMB for short) are building systems where many of the components and designs have been engineered to reduce cost and waste while maintaining quality and functionality. This means standards are set for many of the components that make up the building such as the I-beams creating the primary support structure as well as the secondary C and Ζ girts and purlins. This also allows manufacturers to create consistent components of the building that are pre-cut, pre-punched and pre-fabricated to meet each building’s design specifications and needs.
